چکیده
The betel plant (Piper betle L) is a that has the ability as an antifungal, antimicrobial and antioxidant. In order to make essential oil more efficient use, made into microemulsion. purpose of this study was determine effect stirring time temperature on characteristics microemulsions best produce microemulsion characteristics. This experiment used randomized block design (RBD) using two factors, namely mixing temperature. consists 3 levels, 4, 6 8 minutes 60°C, 65°C 70°C. resulting data were analyzed analysis variance, if there differences it continued with BNJ test. results showed duration stirring, temperature, interactions between particles had very significant value turbidity index stability pH dilution 1:1 1:99. And did not affect microemulsion, centrifugation, against 1:9 dilution. Stirring treatment for making nut have transparent appearance, values before after centrifugation are 0.390 ± 0.031 0.343 0.059, particle size 23.1 nm 4.6 nm, largest droplet 22.8 nm. Betel stable weeks storage. Based regression equation achieve below 1% 34 or 8.5 months.

sirih. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dua faktor yaitu suhu. Lama terdiri atas level menit Data dihasilkan dianalisis analisis varian, bila ada perbedaan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ. Pada hasil menunjukkan bahwa pengadukan, suhu, interaksi antar partikel berpengaruh sangat nyata nilai indeks turbiditas pada stabilitas pengenceran Dan tidak sirih, indek sentrifugasi, 1:9. perlakuan membuat memiliki kenampakan transparan, sebelum setelah sentrifugasi sebesar 0,390 0,031 0,343 0,059, ukuran 23,1 4,6 terbanyak 22,8 Mikroemulsi stabil selama minggu penyimpanan. Berdasarkan persamaan regresi mencapai dibawah atau 8,5 bulan.

Optimization of spray drying process parameters of Piper betle L. (Sirih) leaves extract coated with maltodextrin
Piper betle L., more commonly known as betel or local name of Sirih, belongs to the family Piperaceae. Previous researches had shown that the leaves of P. betle possess tremendous beneficial effects including antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-diabetic, wound healing and gastro-protective properties. This is due to the present of the two bioactive component; propenylphenols; which is the Hydroxyc...

An investigation, on the roots of Piper nigrum and the aerial parts of Piper betle, has yielded several alkaloids. The dried root sample of Piper nigrum was extracted using various solvents in increasing polarity. The dried aerial part of Piper betle was extracted using the Soxhlet extraction method. The alkaloids isolated were pellitorine(1), (E)-1-[3’,4’(Methylenedioxy)cinnamoyl]piperidine(2)...
متن کاملTwo new sphingolipids from the leaves of Piper betle L.
Two new sphingolipids, pipercerebrosides A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the leaves of Piper betle L. Their structures, including absolute configurations, were determined by spectroscopic analysis and chemical degradation. These two compounds did not show significant cytotoxic activity against the cancer cell lines K562 and HL-60 in a MTT assay.

The study presents comparative morpho-anatomical information of 10 common cultivars of Piper betle species available in India. The ten cultivars show some structural similarities. Four layered upper and two layered lower epidermis was observed in all the varities of P. betle studied. Crystals and oil reserves were found in the epidermal cells. The Kapoori Tuni variety has more stomatal and tric...
متن کاملAntimalarial activity of methanolic leaf extract of Piper betle L.
The need for new compounds active against malaria parasites is made more urgent by the rapid spread of drug-resistance to available antimalarial drugs. The crude methanol extract of Piper betle leaves (50-400 mg/kg) was investigated for its antimalarial activity against Plasmodium berghei (NK65) during early and established infections. The phytochemical and antioxidant potentials of the crude e...
